""
From Louisiana to Oklahoma!! Mrs. Susan commissioned Sawyer to paint a black and white buffalo for her home in Oklahoma. This painting veers away from Sawyers typical COLORFUL and BRIGHT painting style, but he finds it's a great way for him to step outside of his comfort zone. Although "" is painted in black and white, Sawyer could not resist, so he chooses to add a striking blue around one of the eyes of the buffalo and hits of teal throughout, which was Mrs. Susans request!
"Crawfish Nouvelle" "Magnolia Nouvelle"
Nouvelle Fitness is a newly opened Pilates Studio in Cecilia, Louisiana. Sawyer was commissioned by the owner of the studio, Shae Bonin, to paint two different paintings to decorate the interior walls and hopefully bring a smile to customers faces! The signature color of the studio is PURPLE, so the main color scheme in each painting of course had to be... you guessed it... PURPLE!
"Lucy" "Summertime Bayou" "Rockwell" "St. Michael"
Sawyer was commissioned by Naomi Angelle Maraist to paint these four paintings for her houses! In this specific commission, Naomie gave Sawyer almost complete creative freedom. She told him she wanted a rooster, 2 Louisiana themed paintings, and one religious painting. With this information, Sawyer got to thinking and created "Rockwell", "St. Michael", "Summertime Bayou", & "Lucy". The rooster, "Rockwell" and the religious one, "St. Michael" are both staying at her house in Lafayette.
Her late husband, who passed away was named Mike, which is why Sawyer choose St. Michael as the religious painting.
The other two, "Summertime Bayou" and "Lucy" are going to her lake house in False River!
"Motherly Love"
In this specific commission, Sawyer was asked by Jill McBride Bozeman to paint these two sassy possums as a representation of her and her daughter... "Possum" being her daughter's nickname.
With the big possum representing Mrs. Jill and the baby possum on her back representing her daughter Greta.
